The Treasury Council of Madrid Autonomous Region, throughout the Gaming General Office, has conceded Victoria the authorization for the legal exploitation of sport bets. This makes Victoria be the first company in Spain to offer this new branch of gaming and leisure.
Victoria is the result of a joint venture between two leading companies on their respective markets: Codere, an established Spanish multinational of private gaming operating in Europe and Latin America, and William Hill, a British internationally leading company, specializing in bookmakers. The out-coming company is an archetype of solid and viable business, based on the experience of the members and customized to Spanish players' preferences.
With an initial investment commitment of 10 million euros by each partner for the first operating years, Victoria will set out around 70 selling points in 2008 on the region of Madrid. It includes company-owned premises and agreements with associated operators – like game halls, bingos, casinos and sport stadiums. It is forecasted that 300 stable employees will be hired during the first three operating years.
